I first met Debbie and Rob (and their gorgeous dog who covered me in white hair, haha) a few months before their wedding at Eastwell Manor in Kent. We met for coffee and had a long chat about their wedding and what they wanted me to photograph during the day. Rob wanted lots of candid photos of guests throughout the afternoon as well as a few group photos. Rob and Debbie only wanted me to photograph their wedding day from their ceremony through to guests sitting down for their meal so we only had a couple of short hours on the day itself, but at a venue like Eastwell Manor that would still allow for some beautiful wedding photos.
The day arrived and we were blessed with glorious soft winter sunshine for Debbie and Rob's wedding at Eastwell Manor. I totally understand why so many couples want a summer wedding, but the light during the autumn and winter months really can be beautiful (and flattering!).
I say it all the time, but I absolutely love doing what I do, I get to know my couples before their wedding and by the time their big day arrives I honestly feel like I have a prime seat to see two of my friends get married. Love, love, love my job!
Debbies face lit up when she saw Rob standing in the aisle waiting for her. She looked amazing and every person in the room had their eyes on Debbie as she entered the room in her absolutely stunning wedding gown.
Debbie and Rob's style suited Eastwell Manor perfectly. Elegant, classy, and still relaxed and warm. A perfect match and I don't think they could have chosen a better wedding venue.
You have to love a wedding where the guests get teary. It is so lovely to be this close to the emotion of such a special occasion.
Once the ceremony had finished, and register had been signed and witnessed everyone headed through to the private bar area that Eastwell Manor provide for weddings. Everyone enjoyed a glass of something warming (and bubbly too in some cases) and enjoyed the atmosphere with some gentle live music.
Group photos were taken in the main hall beside Eastwell Manor's Christmas tree. There was plenty of laughter and a lot of fun whilst we went through the group photos.
Before we knew it the time had come for Debbie and Rob and all of their guests to head through to the Wedding Breakfast. The afternoon had flown by and everyone had simply had their best time. Rob looked his handsome best, and Debbie looked stunning. It had been quite a while since I had been at a black tie wedding and everyone really did look amazing. I left as everyone was sitting down to what promised to be an absolutely lovely meal.
Congratulations to you both, and thank you again for letting me be there to photograph your Eastwell Manor wedding..
