In the blur of early parenthood, it’s easy to forget how small they once were — the way their fingers curled around yours, their quiet breaths, the soft sleepy sighs. My newborn photography sessions are designed to gently preserve these fleeting details in a calm, cosy, baby-led environment where you can truly relax and soak in the moment.
Whether it’s your first baby or your fourth, every session is paced around your baby’s needs — with plenty of time for feeding, settling, and snuggles. Safety, comfort, and warmth are always my highest priorities.
Relaxed In-Home Newborn Photography in Medway
The first few weeks with a newborn pass in the blink of an eye. They are filled with tiny details, sleepy cuddles and quiet moments that deserve to be remembered forever.
My newborn photography sessions are designed to be calm, relaxed and completely centred around your baby. Rather than asking you to pack up the car and travel to a studio, I bring my professional mobile studio to the comfort of your own home, allowing you to stay where you and your baby feel most at ease.
Using carefully crafted lighting that recreates the soft, natural look of window light, I create timeless portraits that focus on genuine connection and the beauty of these precious early days. Every session is baby-led, with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling whenever needed. There is never any rush.
You don't need a large house or a dedicated room for your session. My portable studio is designed to fit comfortably into most living rooms or bedrooms, giving me everything I need to create elegant, professional portraits while you enjoy a relaxed experience at home.
I love incorporating meaningful blankets, knitted gifts and family keepsakes into a session, creating photographs that are not only beautiful but uniquely yours.
One of the greatest compliments I receive is that many of my newborn sessions are for couples whose weddings I have previously photographed. Being invited back to capture the next chapter of their family's story is a privilege that I never take for granted, and it reflects the relationships I build with the families I photograph.
Based in Medway and covering the surrounding areas, I offer natural, timeless newborn photography with a gentle, personal approach. My aim is simple: to create beautiful images that will transport you back to those fleeting first days every time you look at them.
When Should You Book Your Newborn Photoshoot?
Newborn sessions usually take place when your baby is between 5 and 14 days old, when they’re typically sleepiest and happiest to be gently posed.
I recommend booking during pregnancy — ideally after your 12-week scan — to secure a spot in the early weeks after your due date.
That said, if your baby is already here, don’t worry — it’s still possible to capture gorgeous newborn images up to around 3 to 4 weeks old. The session may be a little more awake or wrapped-focused, but just as special.
Your baby will never be this small again. Let’s preserve these precious early days with gentle, meaningful photographs you’ll always look back on.
