Swarling Manor wedding photographer

Updated: Sep 19

From my first conversation with Anna I knew we were going to have an amazing day at her wedding to Dom at Swarling Manor in Kent. Anna had so many fun and unique ideas for her day and I was thrilled that she had picked me as her Swarling Manor wedding photographer.

Dawn and I arrived at Anna's nice and early to get a few photos of the girls all getting ready. From the moment we walked in the door we were all laughing. The atmopshere was perfect and everything was lining up for an amazing day.

The champagne was being poured, and everyone was getting into their bridesmaids dresses. Anna was looking amazing so we put the garden and the sunshine to good use for Anna's dress reveal. Bride prep photos can and should be a very relaxed affair, there is no need to get stressed over this part of the day. It is often a really relaxed and fun part of your wedding day. so your wedding photos should reflect that. Enjoy the playlist, enjoy being pampered, enjoy a glass of something bubbly. But, as Anna did, make sure there is someone there to keep everything running on time so you have a few minutes spare for some fun photos once you are all dressed! You know you want those epic wedding dress photos in your wedding album!

With the dress reveal photo's in the bag it was time for us to head off to Anna and Doms wedding venue in the heart of the countryside outside Canterbury. Swarling Manor was a short drive and we managed to get there and get set up in time to get some photos as Anna arrived at Swarling Manor in her beautiful wedding car.

With the sun still shining and the gardens looking beautiful, Dom was waiting for his bride in the ceremony garden. Anna looked absoultely stunning as she walked across the lawn under bright clear blue skies. All of the guests were looking on as she met her groom under Swarling Manors flower arch.

As vows are read, and rings are exchanged, family and friends all look on as Anna and Dom say I do and begin their new journey as husband and wife. I have said it so many times before, and it never gets old. I absolutely love having my front row seat to this very special moment. As your Kent wedding photographer I get to witness this event so many times every year and yet I never forget one of my couples as they say I do to each other. It truly is a special moment in life and I am so very lucky to be able to do what I do. Being a wedding photographer in Kent is just simply fantastic!!

With vows made to each other, and thier rings exchanged, it was now that moment when the registrar invites Anna and Dom to have their first kiss as husband and wife. Awwwwwww.

Anna and Dom really made an exit from their wedding ceremony with a spur of the moment archway of hands form their frainds and family. What a special way to exit your wedding ceremony. Truly, a moment to remember and look back on with love.

Your group photos can be formal if you like, or you could have a lot more fun and just flow with the emotion of the day. "let's all pick Anna up" was the cry from the boys and Anna just embraced the moment and went for it. These are the moments you will remember for so many years to come.

With group photos finished it was time to sneak away for a few minutes. We nipped out to the bluebells in the wood and grabbed 10 minutes away from everyone for some fantastic and romantic wedding photos. (We had a really good laugh as well as it happens.)

Anna and Dom had lots planned for their wedding day. Smoke grenades and garden games. A giant teepee for the children to play in provided by The Little Sleepover Co. Check them out for your wedding if you are looking for things to keep the chidren amused and entertained through the afternoon of your wedding. Lots of dancing to the live band and just general fun all afternoon. We could hear constant laughter and giggles all day from small children, and from some not quite so small chidren too. It really was a top day and all of the hard work and thought that Anna and Dom had put in to their day shon through. With so much going on all day Ann and Dom got lots of wedding photos which reflected the relaxed and fun atmosphere of their wedding.
